Fifth Grade Reading List

This is the first year I am implementing required reading books for my boys. 

For fifth grade these are the books my son will read.
Most of these he will read alone but a few are part of our History read alouds.

• The Big Wave by Pearl S. Buck
• The Beatinest Boy by Jesse Stuart

• The Door in the Wall by Marguerite De Angela
• Nory Ryan's Song by Patricia Reilly Giff
• The American Twins of the Revolution by Lucy Fitch Perkins
• Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan 
• A Penny's Worth of Character by Jesse Stuart
• Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse

I chose them from The Good and The Beautiful book list. 

I decided to use this list as I wanted to give my kids books with good morals and values.
