Scheduling a Vacation

My family has never really been on a planned family vacation. So Austin has spring break in March and it looks like we will be heading to sunny Florida! My mom and grandma live there so we will stay with them.

We will be visiting our church down there and also be heading to St. Augustine!
I have been to St. Augustine several times but my husband and kids have not.

Some of the places we will be seeing while there are

The Fort

Marineland
The Old Jail

and of course the Beach!

We also plan to visit the Lighthouse and anything else we can fit into the few days that we are there!

So among school and other things going on in our lives, I am planning an awesome vacation for our family!
Now to actually do the planning for all the packing and that type of thing.

  1. Hi Lauren,
Love your site, very useful and helpful tips! Thanks for sharing!
My question on this post is: Has it become a requirement to home-school for Pre-K?
    I have a 22 year old, a 21 year old and now a 1 year old.
My first two (yes, 20 years ago) did not go to pre-k and there was no home schooling thoughts at all. I did teach them things but nothing formal and no one (like the state) checked up on it.
Being a new mom again, would like to know if pre-k is now required schooling?
Thanks! And Keep up the site - it's great!

    Michele
